The Locket I wore for many years,
Hanging from my neck ever since then,
Shines radiantly and beautifully,
Whenever I walk into the sunlight.
The Locket was never opened,
And it may never be opened,
For the golden Key has been lost,
For many years since.
The Locket kept a dark secret,
From everyone else but me,
For the golden Key that was said to be lost,
Was never lost but was me.

Description:
This is an illustration, free verse, repetition, and imagery poem. I wrote this poem a year ago when i was in seventh grade. It was inspired by the things we love in life that will always be with us even though we don't know it's still there.
