• United we stand
    Divided we fall
    Weapon in hand
    We’ll salute standing tall.
    Into battle we’ll march
    Our heads held high
    Ignoring our hearts
    Telling us we will die.
    We are brothers and sisters
    Great ones of valor
We could go home with just blisters
Or be dead in the hour.
    Though we’re brave and strong
    We’re scared as can be
    We may not live long
    This field is deadly.
    We’re fighting for you
    And for our families
    But with one wrong move
    We’re left unable to breathe.
    You forget our service
    Our selfless sacrifice
    You let us be dissed
Though we fight for your life.
    This fallen soldier
    Has a family
    An unborn daughter
    He will never see.
    Another life lost
Yet you act like it’s nothing
    You’ve forgotten the cost
    But it Does mean something.
    A little girl will grow
    Without her father there
    She will never know
The moments they did not share.
    The next time you’re upset
    For a simple mistake made
    Before you start to fret
    You had better pray
And think about that little girl
Who will never know her dad
A hero who died for our world
So young, he gave All for what we have.

    In memory of
    David J. Hartman
    And all of the other
    Soldiers who paid the
    Ultimate price. You are
    Greatly missed.
