what keeps us afloat
will keep us from our death
tear after tear
drop after drop
what keeps us alive

i have lost my will
but keep yours alive
and yet still
this dream that i have held for too long
will now thrive
float away my dream
run away from this world that keeps you down
step away from impossiblities
fly away from noations that make you frown
because it is these wrongs, these lies of necesites
that will let you drown

Wow. That's really good.
Where you wrie "what keeps us alive/will never make my heart stop", "won't make my heart stop" would fit better since it has less syllables.
