I still remember
A clear image of you.

Wearing your white dress
That teased the wind
That enticed and dazzled me, too.

Songs of summer
You sang to me
As we chased each other on the plain.

You were beautiful
Your brunette hair and cherry lips
That kept me secured and sane.

Songs of summer
I still remember
Our little stroll on the beach.

The sunset we saw
And the lightness of your face
Almost deprived me of speech.

You wrote to me
On a beautiful summer's day
That you will be gone for long.

Though you'll be faraway
But my memories of you are still intact
While I write a simple summer song.
