I saw You happy with her
My best friend and You
Back then I told her, I promised
I wouldn’t love You.

My mask of emotions I wore was running thin.
I told my heart to stop racing
I told it not to sin.

The night He found out I loved Him
I wanted to die right then.
For it would never be me in his eyes
Only my best friend.

All of those times
You held me close,
But I knew it was she
You loved and needed the most.

I made one dumb decision,
My best friend and I one night.
I told her to love You
That I would be alright.

I listened to Him break me down.
I watched my dreams fall to the ground.

When I see Him with her,
I force a grin,
But really my heart,
Is breaking within.

He will be happier this way,
I will not be tortured day by day.

Leaving Him forever more,
Even though my heart is sore,
My love is no longer your chore.

I can't stand sitting here,
not talking to Him, feeling my heart ache,
losing my mind, and feeling my heart break.

It use to make me smile
but now it makes me cry

So I'm letting you go now,
With tears in my eyes,
I'm telling You my last
And final goodbye.
