• Ignorance is bliss, I have learned.
As we grow, we know and become concerned.
Depending on background we learn at an early age.
We know life is not a fairy tale with a happy ending on the last page.
We see the pain and suffering of others.
How the daily stress tears down on our fathers and mothers.'
Then soon it takes hold of us.
We do things wrong, we drink, we cuss.
    We smoke, we fight.
We start to lose what it means to do right.
And all because of the bliss that has slipped away.
That's evaded us day by day.
We can only grow if we accept what we miss,
That we accept that ignorance is only short lived bliss...
