As I lay there dying,
Those beside me softly crying,
I heard the voice of innocence,
As my eyelids fluttered closed.
As my eyelids fluttered closed,
I smelled a golden rose,
Its petals thick and dying,
Those beside me softly crying.
Those beside me softly crying,
I saw a newborn dying,
Its breath harsh, its body still,
As I lay there dying.
As I lay there dying,
I touched a wet-stone drying,
Its icy surface that of my own,
As my heartbeat lost its monotonous tone.
As my heartbeat lost its monotonous tone,
I tasted the remorseful air; I was alone,
The tasteless flavor was sour upon my tongue,
As I lay there dying.
As I lay there dying,
Those beside me softly crying,
I heard the voice of innocence,
As my eyelids fluttered closed.

- That was amazing! That poem left me speechless! It is wonderful how fluently you write! 5 out of 5 for sure!
