• I seem to be timid,
    hiding my wings.
    But I'm like the Jay,
    who flutters and sings.
    Though the feathers are blue,
    my radiance glows.
    My bravery's there,
    my ballot dost grow.
    I'm free as a bird,
    not locked in a cage.
    Not brought back to Earth
    with chains of old rage.
    The sky is my home,
    it's rainbow my heart.
    My life I have given,
    and shall not depart.
    The wind in my wings,
    the Jay in my soul.
    I've found my place,
    my earthly role.
