I don’t worship your god what becomes of me?
No longer praying and straying from the righteous path
No longer fearful of death and in my last breath not fearful of wrath
Not abiding to your sanction and setting myself free
I remove the shackles and manacles that imprisoned me
Detesting with dejection the law that many follow with conviction
Fretting with lamentation the anguish men face at your inhibition
Enraged by the plenty who bend and at their heels bow to their knees
Why do men so readily follow your gracious ideals?
Was it not you who plagued the Earth and caused it to weep?
Was it not you who we willingly followed like sheep ready to leap?
Why do men so steadily follow your faith and with time it anneals?
A strong faith is forged but why?
A God, so capricious in his claims to be wrathful and merciful
A God, so tenacious in his removal of the weak with his calling culls
Is tranquility and serenity assured by following you or is something awry?
The executioner steps forward
Hearing his plea he guarantees that he will not flee
Grieving for his soul he sets him free
Telling the atheist to stand still and not coward
The executioner holds a dreaded blade that didn’t glisten
Born to be fettered is the man who isn’t christened
Slaughter civilized men and treat them like savages
Kingdoms will fall and in the name of sanctity be ravaged

- think. I dont know your last stanza seems to suggest that people who are not Christians will face the wrath of God. So I guess God harshly judges people. The word sanctity suggest that by following God you will be blessed by doing the right thing. I guess God is both wrathful and merciful. My problem with God is I'm not sure if he's just.

- Being agnosic myself sometimes I question whether God truly exist. Sometimes I wonder, what his motive is if he does exist. I like your poem and sometimes I do wonder if he's a god of wrath like in the old testament. Perhaps a God of mercy like the new testament suggest.Well I don't know I'm dumb I guess. Anyways 5/5 because you made me t
