• Rain falling fast and hard
Providing cover for those who cry
Those who wish you'd not pry

Dealt a bad card in life
    Fighting hard in strife
Knocked to your knees once more
Get back up and try again
    Troubled to the core
For all attempts end in pain

Tears washed away by the rain
    Something they don't recognize
It's too late by the time they realize

Writhing on the floor in pain
Enough to drive a person insane
    Tears fall once more
Forming a pool on the floor

Look to the sky and ask yourself,
"Why must I endure in a silent reverie?"
Enough pain you want to cry out
Tell them what this is all about
But you don't want the pity you'd receive

    Rain falling fast and hard
Providing cover for those who cry
Those who wish you'd not pry

    This is my silent reverie
    My lips are sealed
No matter how much you beg and plea

    Rain falls once more
    Trailing down my face
    Erasing the tears I shed
As I turn to go back to bed
