• I come home from work, toss my stuff on the floor,
No one will hear me, I’ll scream some more,
Shadows moving between me and him,
There’s no way out, only one way in,
Falling asleep to the dead of night,
I see his shimmering of a ghostly light,
Bends down beside me, his silvery glow,
    Shattered mirrors, gateways to go,
To a plane of darkness, barren and cold,
Here starts a saga, long foretold.
Of love and betrayal, happiness and spite,
Lies and deceit in another light,
I fell upon sand like fire upon ice,
Imprisoned aside the remains of mice,
From my hollow cell I wait,
    Being a sun child’s bait,
My master, my lord, my silver side,
Beside me he stood, beside me he died,
I see him forever beside me, a symbol of love to show,
That in darkness I’ll rest beside him, and in shadow I’ll never let go.
