You sang me a lullaby coated with lies
Cloaking deception behind innocent eyes
You helped build me up, knowing I'd fail
And you left before the words on your lips could grow stale
You gave me a dream and put words in my mouth
Pushing me in too deep by the time I wanted out
You made me forget what it meant to be me
Chaining my wings when I tried to break free
And as I lay broken, you came once again
In one hand- a needle, the other- some thread
Patiently patching the hole in my heart
As soon as you've finished, it once again starts
Why you still lead as I follow behind
Lies just out of reach in the back of my mind
You pull me along, letting me break as I go
It hurts to go on, but I love it, you know?
And one day, I think, quite soon, I'm afraid
You'll push me too far and to rest I'll be laid
And you'll be left searching for the next one you choose
And I'll be brokenly hoping that neither of you lose

- This is really interesting. I can't really say NICE (someone needs a hug), but it's very well done and the rhyme scheme works well. 5/5!
