• Out of the dark, glows still appear
Out of it, comes your darkest, old fear

Wraps you up and wraps you thin
Waiting for you to really begin

Wanting you to find that dark, treasured place-
It searches for it in an eternal space

Reticent eyes with the soft pain
Of losing what you tend to gain

A smile no one can stand up against-
A dreadful aura many had sensed

No one can stand up to the cat of all Time,
No one knows of its honestly true Crime

And yet, it shall come, ever more, ever less
When it shall come for you, only some can guess

    The Cheshire Cat shall always come true;
It knows of its promise to scare you

Whether it loves it or not, none can say
The fear in their minds keeps them at bay

“Away from the Cheshire,” they seem to scream
“It’s cursed, it’s bad,” they seem to deem

Have you not considered it has a fear?
A fear no one knows about, my dear?

It only wants to gain what it has found
With only the most minute of a sound

The Cheshire Cat will come to all,
It will come when you seem to fall

Don’t give in to its alluring demands-
    Its hypnotism always expands

Love the Cheshire, hate the cat,
There’s nothing you can do about that.

For the Cheshire hides its own truth
Conceals it from this or that youth

It knows the time for peace has come to end,
So it smiles for only that, my friend.
