• A pause in time
    Of what once was mine
And my dreams are swept before me,
    As I stand up tall
    To feel small
You find ways to ignore me

    Please don’t run
    You are the one
Who will save this world from falling,
    Yet you turn around
    What I have found
To a scene I’m not recalling

    Please take me to
    A house of blue
In which I can do nothing
    but sleep all day
    And nightly sway
    To a song of everlasting

    The rhythm breaks
    To falling flakes
    Of cereal from the ocean,
    Milky tides
    Empty insides
    To be filled with emotion

    Sugary sweetness
    Of strawberry skies
    Bring me to the surface
    Of innocence,
    Resilience
    And all I cannot hide

    Random bouts
    Of psychotic doubt,
    Am I being any clearer?
    Senseless creation
    Of indignation
    You’re not getting any nearer

    This is all a lie
    I must imply
    That I don’t know what I’m writing
    Empty words,
    Gathered herds,
    Insanity is fighting
