• On Christmas Eve night I heard the sound of the howling wind,
Standing at her doorstep with hope to be invited in.
When the night grows cold and the snow pills deep,
I look to your window and wish that you hear my heart beat.
As I walk away I stare to the sky,
Sparkles of white gathering my eyes,
My palms grow wet and my heart grows weak,
I make it back home to break down and cry.
I fall to my bed and wish through the night,
That there will come the day that you will be mine.
As my eyes close to rest my mouth slips the speech,
"My love stains forever, please hear me at sleep."

As Christmas day shines with joy in the sky,
My lonely heart's weeping for love to survive.
I walk down the stairs and look under the tree
Nothing is found but the rug underneath.
I turn 'round the corner and step out of my door,
The outside in snow where couples are gathering for warmth.
I break out in tears and walk back through my door,
I stop and turn to a voice like from an angel so sure,
She runs through my door and gives me a hug.
My heart grows to warm melting the ice,
I break off her arms as my heart faints just twice.
I look in her eyes and ask why she is here,
She gets on her toes and kisses me so dear.
I hug her again and lend her my ear,
She says, "I'll never think twice, I have my Christmas wish."
