Underneath this skin I'm in
I keep my broken skeleton
A heart that's built of steel and sin
A soul that bears a bad burden
Beyond what I have shown the world
through all the smiles - a broken girl
Who's mind has made her so unsure
But I know which they all prefer.
So with white teeth and smiling eyes
I dress myself with this disguise
The girl who told the perfect lie
And walks around deceiving life.

- Title: The Perfect Lie.

Description:
Because I got such great feedback from my other poem I decided I'd give this another go.
So here's something I just created. I was inspired by a friend who I seemed to observe for some time. In a totally not weird way. And watching her kept me quite entertained. The lengths that people would go to, just to hide who they really are. Because they're ashamed of it. But I think she should be more ashamed of who she's become - cause she's a walking, talking robot.
