• The pure white snow,
    Untouched,
    Drifting listlessly around me
    Falling like an angel's tears.
    The embrace of winter's chill
    Like a lover's caress
    Sweeping across my body
    As i walk among
    The cloth bundled crowds.
    I smile as I watch
    Children play
Frolicking amongst the dunes of white
    Their laughter and bright smiles
    Fill my eyes and ears,
    Bringing with them
The memories of good times past,
    The memories of family
Huddled around the warmth of a fire
    Brought together by the thoughts
    Of warmth, food, laughter,joy.
The comfort of a mother's warm embrace
    As stories are told
    And presents unwrapped.
    The scent of spices,
    The sight of mistletoe,
    The flickering candles,
    The glow of the tree.
All these things are brought back to me
As i walk within this frost covered city.
And now I feel the need
    To bring us together again
And impart the joy to my family.
    To show them the sights,
    The sounds,
    The memories,
    The love
    Of this the white season.
