• I can see them but they can't see me
    How can that be?
They do not live in the darkness as I do
They do not live in despair too.
They have what I can't, its true
They have the sun to warm their skins
To warm up the pain and sorrow within.
The sun's rays of pure light
Brings hope to the darkest of nights
They say in the rays you can see,
But why can't they see me?
They walk by, the sun on their face
Why must I live in this horrible place?
I want to feel the sun on my skin
I want to feel the warmth go within
I want to smile and laugh and play
I want to live in the brightness of the day
    But life isn't fair
    I live in despair
    In the darkness I belong
    Until death comes
    It won't be long
