BEAUTY? LOVE? TRUTH? PERFECTION? HAPPINESS?
these are impossible concepts.
Innocence and Experience play make-believe together:
Experience pretends it's a game. Innocence believes so.
Experience knows winning is impossible. Innocence wins continuously.
Experience lies and cheats, trying to break rules that cannot be broken, doing everything in its power to win. Innocence could care less.
smoke and mirrors are put on like makeup,
but nothing can hide the scars.
im standing barefoot, feeling the wet, grainy sand between my toes.
there is no sand. in reality, i feel nothing.
im standing between two bottomless, immortal chasms, looking down.
i look down the edge of one. the other is behind me now.
im standing on an infinitesimally fine line, balancing life like a tightrope walker.
inifinity, like love, is an ideal, an impossible concept. and it is always unrequisited.
the tightrope does not exist.
i am falling
