Through the pale twilight the solitary stalker creeps.
Dressed in her cloak of black velvet gifted by the moon.
Her eyes liquid amber bestowed by the sun.
Suddenly she crouches, her body tensed like a spring.
Quick as a flash, like a bullet from a gun, she bounds across the landscape towards prey unexpecting.
With barely a struggle down comes the hunted
Then off trots the leopardess with the unfortunate locked in her jaws.

Description:
This is a poem that I wrote a little while back while on my lunchbreak at work.
It came to me off a random flash of a vision that I had while sitting at my desk right before I was to go to lunch.
I'm honestly more of a creative writer then a poet.
I don't usually share my poetry and tend to just throw what poems I do come up with in the trash... a habit my boyfriend is trying to break me out of.
I'm fully open to critique and complements. - Date: 06/03/2009
