She could not stop
Her legs were even tiring
She knew she could never halt
Her mind said, "Keep Going."
He said, "Please Stop"
His heart ached for her
He was running to catch his love
His faith never leaving as she slipped from his grasp.
The rain was coming down
It stung both their cheeks
The redness from the tears and sleet
It was supposed to be a beautiful day.
