• There is no pain that suffers,
    More than that of love,
There is no person that doesn’t lose,
    More than the next.

The tears well up in her eyes,
    She holds them back,
    Sitting on the porcelain seat,
She breaths in through her nose,
    Trying to break the redding,
She looks at her shaking hands,
    Trying to understand.
    Her feet stand,
She moves to open the door,
And the rush of it all,
    Sinks in.

    We cannot,
    As humans,
    Understand what love is.
We can’t run with the feeling,
    With the lose.
We stand behind what we feel,
    And get thrown,
    Back to the ground.

Her body lands on the tile floor,
    Hurt,
    Burning through her,
    Her toes,
    Her fingers,
    Her blue eyes.
    She feels the tears forming,
    And she lets them fall.
    Running down her cheeks,
    Blurring her vision.
    She opens her mouth,
    Letting out a wail.

    With it in us,
    We burn,
    Without it,
    We melt.
    The mixture of both,
    Creates who we are.
    The pain and suffering,
    The love and happiness,
    It is what we become,
    Each step is worth it,
    Even to the end.

    She sobs herself dry,
    Stands without wanting to.
    She grabs a towel,
    And cleans her face,
    Washing away the evidence,
    Washing away the pain,
Building a wall in front of it.
    Her eyes stare back,
    In the mirror,
    Cold as ice,
    The blue shows nothing,
    Her body turns to go.

    Even through the pain,
    Through the sadness,
We stand back on our feet.
    Lost we may be still,
    But hidden we will stay.
    When we fall from love,
    It isn’t a trip,
    It’s a jump.
    It’s a launch,
    We make,
    Or we take.
    It’s something that we do.
Something that we all will do.
    Love is not a mistake,
    But fate.
