I stand here in the same spot…
Waiting since the Earth began
Some way I have to go
But I’m still here in the dark
Wishing you’d come now
Every day and night I stay up waiting ‘til the sun rises and falls
But the vacant spot is still empty
Waiting… For eternity
I need to know if you’re gone…
I need to face the truth… That you are
I’ve held on to the past long enough
It is destroying only me
It is eliminating my heart
I just can’t seem to breathe anymore
All the memories stored
Haunts my dreams
Drives me insane
Forgetting your face sounds easy to me
Until I tried
It broke down my heart
It turned my heart and yours to an emotionless emerald
Your eyes that were diamonds… disappeared
Your lips that was a sanctuary, now a broken artifact
Everything that was once wholesome is now an outline of despair
The memories of you will never change
The final goodbye was never truly the last
For every night I dreamt of you calling out for me
Seeing your shadow
Through the moonlight’s glow
Following it unconsciously
Only to find the empty space in my heart
I wait every day for the sunrise
Even knowing you will never emerge
There is always a kind of hope keeping me waiting
The thought of you in my arms
The thought of seeing you once more
Fills my heart with glee
But things have changed ever since I fell in love
I’ve been deceived once too many
Thinking it would bring me away from my dark, empty spot
But it only kept me standing in the rain
Waiting for you to apologize for your wrongs
Waiting for you to hug me tight at least once
Hoping for you to kiss me once
For you I would destroy my emeralds
I would seal my diamonds
I would give away my sanctuary
It is only for you
I’ve always anticipated the day you would realize…
How much I only loved you
The day you decide to show yourself and your love
I will be waiting in the coldest night
The pouring rain
Waiting for only you
Keeping this bitter and empty spot warm
Just step into the midst of the moon
And you will probably find me…
Waiting ‘til sunrise
