I am a little girl who is afraid.
I wonder why I see the things I see.
I hear dark mysterious shadows whispering in the night.
I see nothing evil though, only goodness.
I want nothing more but to be by his side again.
I am a little girl who is afraid.
I pretend to be back home with him.
I feel alone when he is not around me.
I worry often that he will get hurt.
I cry out of spite that this world is becoming too cruel for me to handle.
I am a little girl who is afraid.
I understand that I am too young to be in love.
I say that you can fall in love at any age.
I dream of that day when he returns to me.
I try to keep my head above water, just... to stay strong for him.
I hope God will give us courage to face the giants.
I am a little girl who is [no longer] afraid.

Description:
This poem was for a project in school. This is my first poem, ever.
It turned out very well, my teacher would tell me.
Now I want some advice, criticism, and/or comments. I'd really appreciate them.
Like I said before, I'm new to this poetry writing.
I hope you like it. This is what I am.
