• Run into the night
    Like you have no fears.
    Run into the night,
    Away from all the mirrors.
    You wish he’d chase you,
But he just waits by the door.
    Tears stream down your cheeks
As you fall to the floor.
    Run away,
    Run fast.
    Run like the darkness
    Has no chance.

    You’re running away,
    But all you feel
    Are blisters on your tongue
As your heart begins to peel.
    You try to scream,
    You throw your head back,
    But it all hits you.
    All the things you lack.
    Run away,
    Away from his sin.
    Run like the light
    Might actually win.

    You’re running so fast
    The wind makes you dizzy,
    You’re like a shaken-up pop,
    Nothing but fizzy.
    No substance,
    No air,
    If you can’t breathe
    Then it’s no fair.
    “Can’t stop now,” you think,
    As you trip over rocks.
    “Can’t stop now!” you yell,
    His voice seems to mock
All the times you were fine,
All the times you were happy.
    Stupid love notes,
They were so cute and sappy.
    He’s a liar, a cheat,
    That arrogant dog.
At least now I can see through
    This hazy fog.
Run as fast as you can,
    Don’t turn around.
    One with the wind,
    Your feet make no sound.
