Rumors

Rumors echoing through the halls
Under the doors and bouncing off the walls
Half of these rumors aren’t even true
Be careful what you spread,one could be about you

Gossip galore and secrets released
Promises are broken, disturbing the peace
Feelings are hurt and people are crying
People aren’t trusted, and forever lying

Hearts are shattered, torn and broken
Apologies aren’t good enough, if they’re ever spoken
It takes a while for hurt to forgive
Your heart will remember it, as long as you live
