I was struck in the heart...
There was no where to run...
You were with someone else...
The pain had just begun....
I stopped getting sleep...
I'd just cry through the night...
During the day I'd pretend...
everything was alright...
But I'd hurt all the time...
and my heart felt like led...
I hated feeling that way...
I'd rather have been dead...
But what would the point be...
because dead's how I felt...
The blood from the cuts...
let me know I was real....
I was tired of the pain.....
I'd dealt with enough strife...
I didn't think I'd get through it...
Atleast not with my life....
So I kept telling myself...
That you're not worth my tears...
and day by day...
my mind slowly cleared...
And at last I realized...
since you tore me apart...
a person like you...
never deserved my heart.
