Twilight: The Release
Twas the night before Twilight
And all thru the store
People were pushing and shoving galore
They hung out at the counter
And in that long line
Just waiting, oh waiting
Impatiently for it to be time.
As the associates pulled out
The palleted stack
Everyone got excited,
Couldn't be held back.
"I must be the first"
They all thought to themself
As they were pushing and shoving
To get to the shelf.
It was madness, pure chaos
I shook my head.
The things people do
For the books that we've read.
I stood back and waited
Just watched for a time
Until the line had dwindled
And everything was fine
Thankfully I avoided
The really crazed fans
As I picked up my movie
And headed for the stands
I paid for my movie
And walked away
Shaking my head
At the madness that day.

Description:
I found myself laughing at these people but I was one of the many out to get the movie that night... and it was crazy! Anyway, I was inspired and decided to write this poem, hope you enjoy... or not, whatever.
Ok, so I know there are alot of Twilight haters here on Gaia and that's cool and all. I just wanted to submit this anyway...
Please try to criticize the work, not the content... but if you must... - Date: 03/22/2009

*cough cough*
...I'm a Twilight hater. Work-wise, your poetry was moderately good. It was a little plain, though, and could use some better wording. Aim for poetic description, or graphic imagery, rather than picking words that rhyme.
Real vampires don't sparkle, but I'm still giving you a 4/5. - Report As Spam

- It's great it really covers the scope of the chaos.
