Quiet night.
A city resting.
Only night owls-
Insomniacs among the suburbs
Celebrate the dark,
Savouring the collected calm,
Cherishing the wordless presence of the sleeping.
Quiet night.
Silence accentuating
The allure of the mundane.
Layer of dust lie undisturbed,
Misplaced cup, a dripping tap.
Night veils them with unspoken charm.
One which is drowned in the hubbub of day.
Quiet night.
In pictures and paintings,
Frozen smiles radiate blessings
As the household dreams undisturbed,
In dreams which much may transpire.
But dreamer even so will wake safe and warm,
Ready for any coming storm.
Quiet night.
A click of a light switch.
It is dark.
Sleep enters,
And now it is again
A quiet night. 3nodding

- Title: Quiet Night
- Artist: snow_lotus
- Description: Stayed up late drinking warm tea one night. The usually noisy house is silent. I just love the warm presence of sleeping family members. and this just flowed out like wine. :3nod:
