The place where shadows lurk

The one that hurts
That endless black tunnel that stretches on forever
I am the one who holds you down with shackles
I am the one who clips your wings
Leaving you on the ground where it seems alone and you are distant
I indulge in your fears
They nurture me
I am the darkness of night
I am all that is evil
All that is wrong
I am pride
And I am vanity
Being the one who ignores you
I feel strong
I am deception

Some parts of it were really strong, but the end fell flat.

It has some very strong lines, things like "I am the one who clips your wings" really stands out. If you could elaborate more on this sort of theme than an abstract concept of "all that is evil" (which is honestly, far too broad) you might have very powerful prose. Integrate more effects into what the power is doing- it exists in all of us. Yet, what is it making her do?
