Letting go

Letting go of all the pieces that keep us together is hard.
But letting go of a loved one is hundreds time harder.
Even if letting go of them meant never talking or seeing them.
Although we're crazy about that one special person we still let go.
We still have to let go because you know it's best for them.
We know they deserve so much better than our 'boring old selves'.
Just another scar left in our hearts.
Will it heal in time or will it stay engraved forever?
