• I met my dark winged Angel
    long ago, and once upon a time.
    Where the story was 25 to life
    and living was the crime.

    I watched him grow up,
    learn to spread his wings and fly.
    While I lived a nightmare,
    with pain and tears to cry.

    No salvation for the wicked.
    There is only sorrow.
    And agony as time passes,
    until there is no tomorrow.

    I'm waiting for my Angel
    to fly so very far away.
    But for now he stays with me,
    and his Halo lights my way.

    The cruel world left me
    oh so very long ago.
    Now my dark winged Angel
    is the only peace I know.

    His eyes hold a secret;
    kept hidden from my view.
    His smile keeps a puzzle;
    the answer, I wish I knew.

    I know a wretch like me
    doesn't deserve such a treasure.
    For to my black winged Angel
    no other gift could measure.

    One day my Angel will leave me
    of this I am absolutly certain.
    Then all the light will flee
    and so will fall the curtain.

    So until that day comes
    I will hold my treasure high.
    After all I love my Angel,
    like my Angel loves the sky.
