• Love is death,
    I'll tell you why -
    Love means pain
    Which often makes one 'die'

    The heart is vital,
    Yet isn't strong enough -
    For the beatings it takes
    Are often brutally rough

    The desire for love
    Ties ones emotions down
Their heart then falls victim -
To bare the fateful thorned crown

    To desire for love
    Is to desire a pain,
Of which more often than not
Leaves no rainbow after the rain

    For ones heart to survive,
One must choose to let it live -
    To give up on love
So you may enjoy all life has to give

    When ones heart is broken,
It's hard to focus on much more
Than the poison it's been fed -
Which eats away to its core

    Its final fate?
Is up to your inner voice:
    Give it death by desire,
    Or its life by choice...
