• The Garden of Eden

    The Garden of all
    the prettiest ever seen.
    Called the Garden of Eden
    all pretty and green.

    Day to day
    more roses die.
    Thrown away
    for being ugly like hay
or clipped for the beauty of hi
just to be forgotten in the decaying May.

    Tulips that once thrived together
    cut apart
    to droop and weep
    in separate vases
    because of their
    different cases.

    Hardy vines
    crorageously climbing the wall
    always to be cut down
    before meeting their goal
because they were said to be toes out of lines
and overshadowing the dull shine of the all
    with it's steadfast determination.

    Plastic bouquets
    tossed in the trash
    accused of not being real
    or possesing the ability
    to wonderously feel.

    And weeds.
Ripped out of their rightful home the ground
told simply they did not belong
although they were the most strong
    of all numbers.

    Which goes to show
even the most marvelous garden of all
    is not the prettiest thing
and will not make a precious ring
    in the form
    of a complicated song.
