It was a great ball,
They were all there,
Man and Woman,
Peasant and Noble alike were invited.
She was there...the beautiful princess of the tainted world.
A woman who vowed never to love again,
For her heart still belonged to the last one,
One that hurt her so much,
Yet he too still loved her.
There was another face in the game, though.
One the princess' former lover could not stand.
Tonight, though...he was gone.
She sat upon her throne and sighed a bored sigh.
Then, she was approached by a man.
A dark-haired young man who hid his face behind a silver mask.
This man offered her his hand,
She accepted and they began to dance.
The woman found herself falling for this strange man,
one who she didn't even know.
They spent the entire night together, the girl poured out her heart to him
The man said nothing, not once.
His smile seemed everpresent as quietly nodded and took her hands.
Sadly, the night began to end.
The Princess had to say goodbye to this mysterious man in the silver mask.
One she fell for, though he never once said a thing to her.
He merely listened, and she loved him for it.

- Title: The man in the silver mask.
- Artist: Procer Nex
- Description: This is a poem I truly enjoy, it seems to capture the story just so perfectly. I've been told by many women that they want a man who will listen to them...well...here they go. For those about to piss and moan because it doesn't rhyme and it tells a story: Consider "The Iliad" by Homer. Then start to complain if it still seems to make sense =D

- First off, my thanks to the first commenter, Salacious. Secondly, not everything needs a bloomin' twist. Things get plain irritating when they do. A good story is the best kind of story. If they need twists to be entertaining go watch a damn movie.
