Urban Jungle
Welcome to the Urban Jungle
where the giants stalk their prey!
Everybody here's a victim
every hour, every day.
From the gilded canopy
climb further in and see what's beneath,
witness the blunt, rusted blade
that lies within a shining sheath.
The creatures here are slim and cold,
their life is drained into the trees;
the trees that tower high above
and bring the creatures to their knees.
Now you see what lies inside.
You understand the rotten jungle,
you see into the creatures' dreams
that one day the trees will tumble.
One fine day there'll be a snap and a crackle
and they'll know by such a sudden sound
that the trees all grew to heavy,
broke, and fell back to the ground.
