In Spring my heart is new and full,
With Love not known before this day,
Your face a setting sun of grace,
Your smile inviting me away.
In Summer joy is all I know,
You've smitten me since Love's first kiss,
Your eyes a song that sings no wrong,
Each word I pray ne'er to miss.
In Autumn Sorrow's cold I feel,
Holding on to all that remains,
The fleeing dove of you, my Love,
Your glance an envoy of my pain.
In Winter Love has left me so,
And nought resides in within my fears,
Your memory a fleeting cry,
Amidst a prayer of silent tears.
