In a madrid of faces I was so alone;
It was there in that moment my heart had no home;
I was lost in my questions, no one answered me;
I was shrouded by failures, I wasn't happy;
As I sat there I wondered "Is life more then this?"
Shouldn't I have been happy, I felt so amiss;
It was then that you found me, so quiet and shy,
And you told me the story of an amazing guy;
A man you claimed saved you, who gave up his life,
For the sins of all others, it cut like a knife;
The confusion it lifted, when I said that prayer;
"Jesus please save me, no more can I bear."
Now I'm no longer tortured, by failures and doubts;
I'm proof of his glory, a server, devout;
Today I carry a candle, It's form is a book;
It lightens all darkness, each cranny and nook;
Now I'll pass on this flame, to anyone who is near,
And tell them of a god who treasures every tear.
