I sit and watch as the golden leaves lazily fall
Drifting, as the winds call
swirling, swirling, round and around
One after the the other, so........ profound
The blue skies shift to Grey
And I wish that I to could slip away
The clouds, so white, so clean and pure
One can not help but adore
Their never changing allure
Some flowers sigh,
and close their eyes
Deciding they'd rather die
than to be seduced by the changes
While others stand through the blistering cold
A blanket of white envelopes everything
It stretches forth forever as if the earth were its play thing
Toying with nature must be fun
Because, man, does this thing run!
Runs over the hills and the trees
causing everything to hide, even the ever-powerful bees
The birds they to get sniped away
from this picture that yet, still causes me ecstasy
The winds return like shifting tides
Causing even me to run and hide.
So, now from my window I sit and watch
As nothing changes, not even a notch
The earth is quiet
The air is still
Nothing bothers with free will
Its just the way it is.
Still.
