Deep breath in -
deep breath out
Breathe in -
breathe out
I gazed about
The marbleized room
To the silhouettes
And machines
Hovering around me-
Paranoia swept over
My face;
Still too young to be dealing
With such strife
All I could hear
Were voices emanating
From somewhere within me
Asking questions without answers;
Everything is going to be all right
Just breathe-
Deep breath in, and out
Don’t forget to breathe
Looking down
I remembered I needed to concentrate
On what I was to achieve this day,
If I were to mess up
The lives of two could be
Summed up in a matter of minutes –
Focusing invoked an aspect of meditation
Mindful of surroundings and tranquil
Hands slipped idly to my side
And I knew the moment had arrived
For the results of my tensions
To evolve in to a brand new creation-
Discordant wailing rang out
From the dark portal;
Alerting everyone, one-hundred
Years from now -
I had created a monster.

That is a very interesting take, CaptainBaconMan, although I can not say that is what I was going for. I enjoy your thoughts.

Sounds to me like a girl at a masked dance party, about to seduce/make love to/or kiss her partner or 'hopefully' future husband.
That's just my take, could be completely different. - Report As Spam

Good poetry, although rather cryptic. Care to tell me what it means through PM? I'm not going to push you to, but I'd like to know.
To me, it represents working until that's all you do, and it's consumed your life. All you want to do is work towards a happier life, but you become so swallowed that your happy life fades away.
Also, the CAPTCHA for this comment was "rambling deep..." Pretty cool. :] - Report As Spam
