• Though the earth may tremble,
    And the fire burn,
God's silence is louder than all things.
    It comes on the breeze
Like a feather-yet stronger than steel.
To guide. To love. To refine me.

But to quiet the mind, and cease to suffer the flesh?
Such victory is impossible! Am I human, or Christ?
No, I am mortal. Human in every way,
But I SEEK these things, and CALL on Christ for victory.

So my hub now is LORD.
The train of my focus is in SPIRIT.
    Immortal words of Confucius,
Imperishable are the thoughts of Plato,
And potent the minds of old.
But all stand destitute and empty compared to the gentle voice of GOD.
