Hair tangling with the breeze, scented golden
with cakes and honey
Eyes blue like the amulets that hung
from the gypsy’s fingers, and grey
like the summer sky above –
She walked through the faire,
like music in the forest,
Gown white over silvery skin,
as the snow on the winter brook,
with fingertips dancing like music
And feet that beat circles in the sand –
She walked through the faire.
