So beautifully shaped,
Rounded in size.
The pale brightness
That hangs in the dark night sky.
The stars are jealous of
Her uncomparable magnificence.
Yet she fades and grows
With the passing of days
She can be as full as a mother
With the spark of life in her belly.
Or like a sliver of light
That shines from a lamppost in between the blinds.
Offering comfort and calmness,
like the roaring of waves on the shore.
Listening like a parent that comes to your rescue
From the nightmare that haunts you in the dark.
She is the moon, the fairest of them all
