Grains of sand cover the ground,
And I walk without making a sound.
The waves grow as the moon starts to rise,
I look up and the sight is burned into my eyes.
No matter the time, the day, or the year,
This peaceful place will always be here. The salt in the air,
the sand at your feet
The waves as they crash at the shore
The water like ice, the birds all call out
And though this should be enough I want more
Waves wash along the sandy shore,
I listen to the wind, and the birds that soar.
The waves lap and my dirty feet,
Sand squishes between my toes when land and foot meet.
The salty wind blows through my hair,
And I smile and walk, without a care.
I turn and stare out at the sea,
This is the place I will always want to be.
The waves will always be laced with foam,
And here I will forever roam.
