• What if books were blank?
    No words
    No pictures
No other worlds to suddenly fall in
The aching desire to be opened no longer alive
The sounds of the pages being forever silent
No one to open to their worlds they used to hold
    Their dearly beloved words gone
    Stripped from their pages
By devouring vultures who rip them up
The pages becoming blank as the ink slides off
    Like water on a roof
People fighting for the inked words like dogs with a bone
What if there were no books?
Did people lose their way to write
    Lose their creativity
    All the paper blank
    Nothing written down
    No sound of rustling pages
No smell of the fresh crisp new papers
A sight of only white for a reader like me to drop tears upon its untold stories.
