Baby Barbie logged on one night
Saw a message from a guy she hadn’t met
Started talking, got to know him
If only she was still around to regret...
He was older; said he was sixteen
Lived just around the corner
Dressed up one evening, went to his house
Shame nobody was home to warn her
Shame nobody was home to warn her
She was only ten, couldn’t have been sweeter
Baby Barbie, still in school
Miniskirts and make-up, a real life Lolita
Baby Barbie, thought she knew it all
Rings the bell, ushered through
Unnoticed, the door locks behind her
Waiting on the sofa, there’s her “friend”
He gets up and then he’s beside her
A hand on her mouth as she tries to scream
Nobody to help, too late to hide
Five times her age, he broke her forever
Did it for kicks, now she’s dead inside
She was only ten, couldn’t have been sweeter
Baby Barbie, still in school
Miniskirts and make-up, a real life Lolita
Baby Barbie, thought she knew it all
Mum and Dad cursed themselves after
Wouldn’t happened if they’d thought twice
Foolish girl; it wasn’t her fault
But she was the one who’d have to pay the price
She was only ten, couldn’t have been sweeter
Baby Barbie, still in school
Miniskirts and make-up, a real life Lolita
Baby Barbie, thought she knew it all
He was much older
So much wiser
If she’d been older
Maybe she’d be
Wiser

- Description: A song I wrote last night, based off a headline I saw in a newspaper the other day. The article was about young girls who are being encouraged by their parents to wear make-up, dye their hair, and wear revealing clothes at a ridiculously young age. This of course, leads to them acting like "grown-ups" and becoming very sexualised. The following is my interpretation of the possible consequences.

- Wow, very true. I like how it's to the point, and yet it tells how people treat our young ones.
