• This always happens to me,

    every time.

    i find a friend,

    who treats me right,

    they don't hurt, 

    they don't play,

    they are here for me in every way.



    we talk,

    we laugh,
    we become so close.

    but then it changes but they never know. 

    i look at them in a different way,
    i start to see them as more than a friend,

    and regretfully, i fall for them. 

    but then they show hints
    they like me too.

    but as soon as I'm convinced they really do,

    they turn around and find someone new.


    I'm always just the friend,

    seems i can never be anything more.

    as much as i want to love them,

    i am forced

    to sit around, and listen to them talk
    about this new love they've got. 

    i try my best to show happiness,
    but it breaks my heart so deep inside,
    
but they never know the pain i hide.
