• The sun was alined with the sky stretched across the horizon. The marine layer had dissapeared and school started in minutes. "MOM!!!" I shouted across the hall. My cereal was half way finished, but I didn't care. Not now...not today. I grabbed my bookbag and repeated myself. "MOM!!!" She appeared out of the stairway, carrying her usual accessories. Her coach purse was made from a fine leather, and her silk ribbon matched her black dress. Her sweet scented perfume danced along with an apple aurora from my body splash. I looked at her makeup, then shook my head. I never care much for makeup. "Sorry, Angel. You need to start being patient with me though." All I heard was Sorry,Angel. Thats my name, Angel Marie. I walked along the sidewalk to the car door.The cherry red corvette was still clean and in well condition. "I don't know why you insist on me driving you if youre school is only down the block?" I looked down. I'll admit it, I'm lazy. I looked at the houses we passed by. The school bell almost rang by the time I got to my locker. "Hey Angel!!!" Claudia called from the drinking fountain. Her sky blue blouse and jeans matched well with her mexican skin color and brunette hair. Her sneakers were white and black, like always. Claudia is my best friend. I'm in a rush so I don't want to get into the specific's. . "I made the drama club play! And...so did you!!!" Excitement flashed through me like a bolt of lightning. "What about Valerie?" Claudia's grin widened. Meaning:Valerie didn't make it. She continued. "She's stage crew so not in the show! And you're Rosemary! I'm Maybelle!" I'm the main character!!! I couldn't believe it. I smiled but it vanished as if a magic trick. Valerie struted over here as if she was the queen of everyone. I looked up to see her in her usual mini skirt, hightops, and loose v-neck shirt Her purple shirt was sparkling and her black mini skirt fitted nicely with her dress shoes."So as you heard, I didn't make it, but I would like a cheer-up. Tell me what horrible part you were given?" I laughed and my smile appeared once again. "Well, than we have nothing to tell you." Claudia was obviously proud of me, usually I'm not good at comebacks. She snickered. "Nonsense, just say it, don't be shy, poor person." Anger flashed through me and turned on my dark side. "Hmm...I did something you couldn't ever accomplish, I got the main part. Rosemary."

    She had a shocked face, than tried to hide it. "And Ms.Rathead here?" I held Claudia back. With a smirk, she answered. "The best-friend of the main." She answered. Valerie laughed. "Main dweebs I bet." With that she trotted off. My best-guy-friend came along. Jared was wearing clean jeans and a plain red t-shirt, matching pretty well with his nikes. "Hey, Val giving you a tough time?" I nodded so hard my neck cracked. "I can't believe you're dating her!!!" He blushed heavenly, then smiled. "I got the part of John Days!" Wait, my crush got the part of my parts soulmate!!! "What?" He asked. "Isn't there a kissing scene with you and Rosemary?" Claudia asked. He nodded slowly. "But no need to worry. I'm sure my precious Valerie got the part of Rosemary." Claudia laughed so hard she had a tear rise from her dark, chocolate colored eyes."Uh...Jared?" I started slowly. "I got the part of Rosemary." He flinched, than calmed. "Well, I guess that's okay." Dissapointment was shown on his face. "Sorry Jared." I said, smiling. He laughed, he always does when I smile. "We should get off to class." Claudia said. She grabbed my arm. "Its ok,I got to get my books anyway." She nodded, then kicked Jared and scolded him for liking Valerie and not someone like me. She knows I like him, but I don't think he does, not yet. I grabbed my books and took off, my class is on the bottom floor. I skidded down the hall and slipped down the staircase...but someone caught me. He looked new, with glowing hazel eyes and hair that shimmered in the light. "Th-thanks." I smiled and he laughed. "No problem, please watch your step...Ms..." I looked at him. "Oh...Angel. Angel-Marie." He nodded and smiled back. "So, is French your next class?" Surprisingly it is. "Yes actually, would you like an escourt?" He nodded."I didn't catch your name." I said, nervously. His reply wasn't very long. "James."

    During lunch period, I told Claudia about him. She cooed and laughed. "Looks like you got another crush." I looked at my mac n' cheeese. "I don't know..." I said, because I didn't. My head started aching and I felt heavily sick. "I...I don't feel well." Claudia's face looked shocked. "ANGEL!!! We need to get you to the nurses office!" James appeared out of nowhere. "I'll help." They carried me through the halls and to the main office. I knocked out then, and couldn't remember a thing. I had this dream though, I was in the forest and I saw a panther, one was white, the other was black. The black panther seemed more concerned and the white one didn't care much. I awoke in no suprise, at home. I can't believe I was knocked out for so long. School started in half an hour. I hurried quickly, than remembered I didn't finish my homework. I tried to hurry but I felt so dizzy...I tripped on the staircase. I expected to hit my head, but James caught me. "You're very clumbsy girl." He smiled. "Well than I'm lucky to have you." I smiled back. And he laughed. "My mom let you in?" He nodded and looked nervous. "I was sent here to help you with school work." Oh...so it wasn't personal. I studied him, his dark brown hair was uneatly parted and his black shirt and jeans matched fine with his sneakers. Mnutes later, Jared stormed in. "I heard you got food poisining...you okay?" He glared hallowly at James, than looked serious back at me. "Who is that?" He asked rudely. "Someone who cares." James answered. I nodded and smiled, James had humor. Jared fumed and I looked at him. "So you think I don't care!!! I broke up with Valerie so I can tell you...well...god at first...I was worried...I couldn't even think. Than I tried calling you but no answer. And Valerie and me got in a fight..." I interupted him. "Oh Jared, you should've never said that!!! I know you care, its just that I didn't have time to think...I was knocked out!" James looked at him. "She's going through a rough time and you are throwing stuff at her!" I looked down, thinking of a way to stop this. "School starts in 5 minutes!!!" At the same time Jared and James shouted."I'll take you!" Claudia stepped in the room. "That would be my job, gentlemen." As we left the room I saw Claudia giving James the 'call me' sign. I shook my head.
