• We ask not for your judgement, but you give it. We want not your pity, yet we have it. We beg your acceptance, but you deny us. We starve for your love, yet you let us hunger for it. I ask you not what you've done for us, but what you've done against us. Have we not been there for you, and your own in great times of need, but to be with us in ours, nary the thought. What makes us different; the way we express ourselves, our sexual and or gender orientations, our appearance, our cultures, our lifestyles. Does not conforming to what is considered "the norm" make us any less human. You judge us to standard that not even yourselves fully fit. You make us to be miscreants, monsters, fiends, devils, scourges, something that must be eradicated, fixed or changed. But with your methods, You, become the monsters, You become the ones that need be fixed. We few people, we brave minority who dare to be themselves and no other, we the people who are the most free, yet are constantly snared, trapped, and caged for simply living. This day shall not be different from any other, except for that fact that I, one of the few of us that choose to speak, am now challenging, no I am declaring that change must come, has to come, will come and in change we shall all be accepted as brothers and sisters of humankind.
