    Hunting

    "Dedrich,are you sure this is safe?"I ask.We were on top of a 50 story building looking down into the city.Dedrich laughed "Of course it is for us.But not for mere humans"I was beggining to get annoyed by him saying "mere humans"."I was human once and so were you" I pointed out. Dedrich chuckled "Yes but my human life is long gone.And in a couple hundred years you will start saying mere humans also" I was annoyed by this fact but I knew he spoke the truth."How do we feed?"I asked curiously.That question I had wanted to ask since he had told me it was time to feed.Dedrich laughed again "To feed,my dear,we must find a human that no one will miss and drink their blood while they are knocked out" Drinking human blood was a terrifying fact to me but I knew I had to to stop being hungry or else if I fed later I might drink so much I would kill the person."So,whos blood are we drinking?" "Well,since it is your first time feeding I should choose shouldn't I?" He asked "Then I say our victim shall be her" he said while he pointed at a girl that was down below trying to catch a taxi. "But she is no more older than me"I said "No she is many years older than you.She just looks younger than she really is" I sighed."Well?Are we gonna go eat or what?I'm starving" "Yes we will.But you need to stay up here and watch how I lure her away from normal humans and then you will have to watch me knock her out.When that is done,I will show you how to feed without infecting the human with our venom.The venom would kill her on the spot."And with that.He jumped down into the sidewalk below,walked over to the girl,and got her into the alley next to them.Then he whistled and I knew that it was time for me to come.

    Chapter Three
    Leaving

    "The feed went very well.I'm impressed." I was looking down at my feet.I couldn't look anyone in the face.I knew if I hadn't drank tonight that the next time I did. I didn't even want to think about it."Since you are going to be staying with me you will probably need your own room" Dedrich said thoughtfully.I looked up."I'm able to stay?"I asked curiously.I don't know what it is with Dedrich laughing at what I say,but he chuckled again and said "But of course.You didn't think I would make a vampiress and then leave her,did you?I made you and I certainly will not leave you."I was amazed.Nobody had ever wanted me to stay around them so much before."But where will I sleep?There is only one room in your abode." "That is a problem isn't it...."Dedrich walked around a mound of dirt."Well,I have had the feeling to move away from this dreadful place.And if we stay,your friends will see you walking around and drag you back to school.If you were with all those bodies in a cramped room,and those bodies were pumping with blood..."He looked at me amazed "I'm sorry but we must leave tonight.We will stop by your house and you will need to grab all your clothes that you want to take with you.You will get new clothes,but you might still want your old human clothes.Then we will leave."He sounded like he was proud of his plan."When do we leave?" I asked. "Well if possible,right now.We can't take any more chances."I nodded " On one condition"I say He looked at me scrutinizing my expression"What is your condition?" "I get a pet at our new place" Dedrich laughed "Of course,my dear."

    Chapter Four
    Our new place

    "I like our new place"Dedrich said approvingly"I knew it was a good idea to let you pick the place" Our new house was a medium sized club house in the woods that had been abandoned years ago."Now about this pet you want"Dedrich said setting up his room."Yes?What about it?"I asked timidly. "What do you want as your pet?" I breathed a sigh of relief "Ummm...I don't know.I washoping you had a good idea about what a vampiress would have as a pet." "How about a large wolf?"He said.I was surprised.I had wanted a wolf when zI was little and now Dedrich was offering one as a pet. "Sure.But where do we get one?"Iasked even more curious now than ever."Hmmm...that can be a problem"He said thoughtfully"What we want is a lone wolf..."Then we heard a howl and we knew a wolf was out there and it was alone."Shall you go find that beautiful creature or shall you just sit here and listen to it's song while I go get it?"Dedrich asked,a smile on his face.Then I was gone,running toward the howls.I had never moved so fast.It looked as though my feet never touched the ground and I was gliding toward the wolf.I stopped a couple feet away from the wolf and I was amazed by its beauty.It was gray and its fur shined in the moonlight like liquid silver.Then out of nowhere the wolf turned and looked directly into my eyes.I looked back and what I saw made me feel sorry for the wolf.I saw that the wolfs pack had been killed and that it was left all alone.I spoke softly to the wolf,to calm its nerves."I don't want to hurt you.I want to take care of you"I was suprised by how alluring my voice sounded.Then I realized I was becoming more beautiful in many ways.I was soon to be as beautiful as the wolf.The wolf walked over to me and nuzzled my hand.Then I knew that it wanted to stay with me.I hoped Dedrich would approve of it staying in my room.
